We recently teamed up with the independent business Agua de Madre for a short film competition encouraging female filmmakers to share their lockdown experiences. The winning film will be screened exclusively on Curzon Home Cinema from Friday 30th October, along with Josephine Decker’s Shirley.

Director Josephine Decker acts as one of the judges on the competition, along with actor Gugu Mbatha-Raw, director Sara Dunlop, producer Gaby Tana, entrepreneur Melissa Hemsley and Curzon Artificial Eye MD Louisa Dent.

Presenting to you one of our runners-up: Home Madre by Ruby Crepin-Glyne.
Ruby Crepin-Glyne is an actress based in London. Being born and raised in Britain, yet being half Togolese and half French, Ruby has always had a tangible connection to different cultures, stories and experiences that are part of her identity, and have inspired her creative journey thus far.
