Moments before riots cause havoc in his neighborhood, Dodge Peterson (Steve Carell) finds a letter from his high school sweetheart, Olivia, revealing he was the love of her life. Dodge makes a pact with his neighbor, Penny Lockhart (Keira Knightley), and agrees to help her fly home to England in exchange for help finding Olivia — all before the world ends.
