Alike (Adepero Oduye) confides in her best friend, Laura (Pernell Walker), about her feelings for Bina (Aasha Davis) after the three girls attend a rock concert. Laura admits that while she is jealous seeing them together, she wants Alike to be happy. Bina and Alike have a sleepover later that night, and to Alike’s surprise, Bina leans in for a kiss.
